Effective Follow-up rules that we have followed and that may help you get the most out of it as well. Huge followups may be stressful, and keeping track of them is much more difficult. With dynoCRM, you gain the power 💪 to keep things as tranquil as possible.
Please bear in mind that you are not required to follow what is said here ✋, but if you do, you may find it simpler to stay on track.
Lets go…
Rule #1: Every Lead should have an upcoming follow-up

Here’s why. When a lead is manually entered or automatically imported from any source, it does not have a follow-up date or anybody who is actively following them.
It is not ideal for a lead to have no further followup. In our book📖, we call them stray leads 😢.
Either a deal is created from lead or lead should be followed till the deal is initiated. There’s no between.
It’s not necessary for lost leads to have upcoming followups, coz they’re lost. If you feel the lead is not interested, or is no longer interested, you can simply mark the lead as lost. But if there’s a slight ray of hope 🥲, follow them again.
So, how do you keep track of which leads are wandering? It’s easy la.
We have a filter for that on dynoCRM which can be found on pre-defined filters on leads page. Scroll to find the filter that says Active tasks.

This filter allows you to view if any leads are stray leads. Make sure you don’t see any of the leads in that table when you apply the filter that says (Doesn’t have active tasks).
How do you fix this?
Create a task for this lead. Any task, be it followup, meeting or any custom task will work just fine. A quick way to fix this is to create a quick followup.
Here are some stuffs that you might need to know:
- Re-scheduling a task will help removing stray leads. Why? Coz rescheduling will have followup on future date.
- When you create a followup for the lead, make sure you never MARK TASK AS COMPLETE. You keep re-scheduling the task until the deal is made or lead is lost.
- It is better to have a single task on lead. Keep rescheduling the task until deal is made or lead is lost.
- When lead is lost, all followup or upcoming tasks will automatically be disabled.
- When a deal is created from lead, lead is automatically sent to contact and deal is created from them. If there were any followups on that leads, they are completed automatically. You dont need to worry about not setting future followup on that lead again coz of this next rule…
Rule #2: Every Deal should have an upcoming followup / Task
When you create a deal, you’re prompted to create a follow-up task. Why? Coz it’s absolutely necessary.
It is not ideal for a deal to have no further follow-up. In our book📖, we call them stray deals or IGNORED DEALS😢.
Either a deal is lost or won. There’s no between. Make sure you keep following up till that decision is made.
It’s not necessary for lost deal to have upcoming followups, coz they’re lost. If you feel the deal can no longer be dragged, you can simply mark the deal as lost. But if there’s a slight ray of hope 🥲, follow them again.
So, how do you keep track of which deals are wandering? It’s easy again la.
We have a filter for that on dynoCRM which can be found on pre-defined filters on deals page. Scroll to find the filter that says Active tasks. Same as above on lead.

This filter allows you to view if any deals are stray deals. Make sure you don’t see any of the deals in that Kanban (That draggable column thingy) View when you apply the filter that says (Doesn’t have active tasks).
